From time to time most serious committed Christians will be wrestling with the question, how can I be living in the will of God for my life? Some of the struggle sometimes comes from not knowing what the will of God is for us. This has to be resolved with some prophetic directives and encouragements … More Walking in God’s will

Howard takes a turn Not quite entering head-on into the fray of heated altercations taking place between the Dawkinsians and Creationists, Howard Jacobson tonight on Channel 4 here in the UK offered a view of the creation account of Genesis 1 which enjoys the poetry and even the ‘theology’ of the passage (theology not in … More Howard Jacobson (and me) on Creation, New Atheism, and the Bible
This is a demo of a recent song. I’m rocked at the moment by social injustices as well as huge humanitarian crises, and how God’s heart beats for those things. Is it achievable? I’m just starting to realise where we’ve been and where we need to go in the church with regard to distribution of wealth. For a while I’ve had convictions borne out of passages like 2 Corinthians 8, which takes its cue in turn from Exodus and the story of the provision of … More Radical Financial Equality
When Jesus did His first temple protest early on in His ministry as recorded in John’s Gospel, the disciples it says remembered a Scripture which says “zeal for Your house has eaten me up.” Well in ‘proper’ language it says “consumed” which isn’t bad but I like “eaten me up” because I like to think … More Consumed by zeal
