New Book for Worship Songwriters

My friends at Resound Worship have just released a new book.

Joel Payne and Sam Hargreaves host the wonderful Resound Worship Songwriting Podcast which every month offers thoughts on the songwriting process, interviews and other content including my favourite segment, ‘dissect a classic’ – which is pretty much what it says on the tin. There’s also a nice dose of humour along the way. My favourite episodes were the interviews with Brian Doerkson and Stuart Townend.

Now they have gone and put their wisdom, experience and insights into book form, and it’s just £3.95! I look forward to checking out what they’ve distilled into this little volume. There are some great books on songwriting in general such as Pat Pattison’s Writing Better Lyrics, but I’m not aware of what we have in the world of worship and Christian music to help us think about songwriting . . . theologically. It will be interesting to see what this book adds.
